How can we help?

Quick answers about Safari setup, blocking, AdGone+ and more, and a real person when you need one.

🧭Setup & Safari

How do I turn AdGone on?

Open AdGone and tap Set Up Safari, then Open Safari Settings. In Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions, turn on every AdGone extension. For AdGone Advanced Blocking, also set All Websites to Allow. Come back to AdGone and the home screen shows Protected.

The app says “Turn on in Safari”.

One or more AdGone extensions are off in Safari. Open Settings → Safari Setup in AdGone: the list at the bottom shows which ones. Turn them on in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions.

Why are there six extensions?

Safari limits how many rules one content blocker can hold, so AdGone spreads its rules over five (Ads, Privacy, Annoyances, Security and Custom). The sixth, AdGone Advanced Blocking, does the things rules alone can't, such as removing video ads.

Does AdGone work in other browsers or apps?

AdGone works in Safari, and in apps that show web pages using Safari. It doesn't block ads inside other apps or other browsers. DNS protection, part of AdGone+, blocks many trackers across all your apps.

🛡️Blocking

I still see an ad.

Try a higher level in the Protection tab, and tap Update filters on the Home tab to get the newest lists. For anything left over, open the AdGone extension from Safari's page menu and choose Hide an element on this page, then tap the ad. Some ads are part of the page itself and can't be told apart from its content.

A site looks broken or won't load.

Add it to the allowlist: Settings → Allowlist in AdGone, or switch off Protection on this site from the AdGone extension in Safari's page menu. If many sites misbehave, try a lower protection level. Lockdown blocks third-party cookies and is the most likely to break things.

Which protection level should I pick?

Standard suits most people: ads and trackers. Enhanced adds cookie banners. Strict adds newsletter pop-ups and social widgets. Lockdown blocks third-party cookies too, and some sites may break.

How do I block ads on sites in my language?

AdGone adds blocking for your device's languages automatically. To add more, open Settings → Extra Blocking and turn on the languages you read.

⭐️AdGone+ & purchases

What does AdGone+ add?

Four things: video ads protection (YouTube in Safari), tracking protection (clean links, and sites told not to track you), security filters (malware, phishing and scam sites) and DNS protection (trackers in other apps). Blocking ads and trackers in Safari is free.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings → General → AdGone+ in AdGone and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you subscribed with.

How do I cancel?

Go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → AdGone and tap Cancel. You keep AdGone+ until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.

How does the family plan work?

The Family Yearly plan uses Apple's Family Sharing: up to five other family members get AdGone+ on their own devices, with nothing extra to pay.

Does video ads protection work in the YouTube app?

No. It works on youtube.com in Safari. Apple doesn't let one app change what another app shows.

🌐DNS protection

What does DNS protection do?

It sends your device's DNS lookups, encrypted, to a filtering DNS service such as AdGuard DNS. Lookups for known ad and tracker addresses fail, so those connections never start, in every app. It's part of AdGone+.

Is it a VPN?

No. It's a DNS setting. Your traffic goes where it always did; only the lookups go to the DNS service you chose.

How do I turn it off?

Switch it off on the Advanced Protection page in AdGone, or remove it in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → DNS.

🔒Privacy & your data

Can AdGone see what I browse?

We can't. Blocking happens on your device, AdGone has no server of its own, and nothing about the pages you visit is sent to us. The details are in the privacy policy.

Safari says the extension can read my pages. Why?

Removing video ads, cleaning tracking links and hiding an element you pick all mean changing the page, and Safari describes that access plainly. AdGone Advanced Blocking does that work on your device and sends nothing anywhere.

How do I delete my data?

Everything AdGone stores is on your device, so deleting the app removes it all. There is nothing held on a server.
